James Avery Witter Sr. Born in Charlotte, NC. In the early 50s he became a local radio jock with a finger on the pulse of this new thing called ROCK & ROLL. Becoming increasingly popular Jimmy knew how to market his craft. Radio Stations on both coasts wanted him as did several record companies. United Artists, Elvis 900, lolita, Neptune to name a few. He went into performing in 1955 and recorded this primitive nugget in 1956. Super rare rockabilly 45 from the late 50's by Jimmy Witter & The Shadows on Elvis Records. Not surprisingly, Col Tom Parker (Elvis's manager) shut this unauthorized operation down quick so only a few of these 45's survived thus making it one of the holy grails of rockabilly collecting. Very limited repro on sassy grey mish mash vinyl !
