Pro-Tez Records continues to explore deep and dubby sound influenced by Detroit and Basic Channel movement. A solid four-track EP "Echo Trap" from the very productive Jamal Moulay, who opens up this release with two compositions Ê"Mocrobot" and "Data Funk" - a production that makes overt disco references with its splashy snares, muted guitar funk and retro synth usage.The B side is a little more in line with Detroit/ Basic Channel -styled techno, mixing spacey synths with soulful gestures and mesmerizing dub chords. Pro-Tez brings the funk again!
