For the second installment of OTP Party Breaks, Jacques Renault from Runaway (Rekids, DFA, I'm a Cliche, RVNG, Wurst, Chinatown, Mule, etc) delivers four sucker punch edits that zig and zag from late-night house gems to rhythmic, tribal boogies to sultry, R&B-infused disco ballads. The four song EP kicks off with a scoop of classic, heart-melting disco glitz, "In the Middle Of the Night." The energy level picks up from there with the heated, sweaty house jam, "Love and Happiness," which craftily incorporates off-kilter, creepy keyboard and synth warbles. "My Baby Love Me" and "Miranda" take it up yet another notch to close the party off with more amped-up bass hooks, sharp, tribal rhythms that relentlessly hijack your ears and never let go, and a smattering of Latin piano lines. Confidently, OTP Party Breaks has churned out another pastiche of dance tunes that tickle listeners' brains just enough to make them reminisce over classic 70s, 80s, and 90s party jams, while simultaneously merging it all together into something unique, new, and instantly memorable at the club and in the car alike.
