After 2014's set of acclaimed releases on L.I.E.S, Creme Organization and Rush Hour, Jorge Velez comes to Skudge White to drop a proper dose of relentless subterranean Techno. 4 tracks created with the adventurous dancefloor in mind. This is the sound of Velez at full command.
"Les Méandres" leads the heavy charge as factory rhythms carry a sinister, echoed call-and-response synth pattern.
Next "Blue Bottle", the heart of the 12" according to Velez, brings volcanic, hissing synths to an intense peak over hammering rhythms.
"Tunnel" is the sound of "the most intense moment on the floor when it's just a blur of all sounds and lights and the pound of the drums" says Velez. Furious and abandoned yet with the floor firmly in view.
"Hydrocution" ends the 12" with a hypnotic, shining metallic combination of rhythm and dissonant synths.
The original artwork is by Pauline Gouablin, who co-created the artwork on Velez's "Territories" LP for L.I.E.S
