COUNTER006 continues Ed Davenport's Inland project, offering a conceptual yet dancefloor-friendly approach with an emphasis on bold, metallic textures, classic sci-fi techno theories and ethereal melodic sequences.
'Footstone' is a straight up modern-rave track aimed at the peak hours, its syncopated, mutated synth hook riding atop a tough jack-track. 'Sinker' sets off an emergency self-destruct alarm while dropping a layer of tough detroit-styled funk on top. This leaves 'Leylines' to carve a smoother, melodic path through the current European techno landscape; bleepy, bass heavy and forward thinking.
Following this EP will be a remix package featuring mixes from Matrixxman, Pär Grindvik, BNJMN and Madrid based Pole Group affiliate Ribé. A full artist EP from BNJMN is also ready to drop, as Counterchange primes itself for a busy first half of 2016.
