Inspired remix choices on Pooled have seen the Markus Enochson, Freestyle Man, Vincenzo & Lovebirds and Derrick Carter tackle the rework duties. Pooley has touched his hand to many of the electronic genres over the years, from blazing techno, samba flecked latin house and downtempo grooves, and it is on “Around Here� and “Compact� that the deeper house canons are fired. “Around Here� shuffles with hypnotizing and head nodding rhythm and melancholic synths, the classic deep house sounds ever prevalent. A touch of Detroitism further enhances the mood of the track. “Compact�, meanwhile, ploughs a somewhat techier path, with thick and heavy synths enveloping the tight percussive work and deep,harmonious pads.
