A constant line of tension runs throught this opus. Acid bass lines and stratospheric chords constantly thwart the dark side and uncanny that lies in the atmosphere of this "Planet G". HXB biography It began in Detroit. In 2010 during Movement Electronic Music Festival, HXB had the opportunity to meet Mad Mike at Submerge and Derrick May, memorable encounters and definitely the culmination of a passion born in the early 90s. “To go deeper into the discovery of techno, to venture to the heart of this growing and ever changing movement, in all its variety of styles”, this sentence summarizes HXB’s musical journey and explains his decision to finally become an actor and an activist of the techno scene. At this point he chose to refocus on what had already attracted him 15 years ago: powerful techno, dub and mental at the same time... As a DJ HXB is a 3-deck mixing adept, always prone to the sharpest selection. Still, the core of his work remains production: patiently and precisely crafted tracks and live sets bridging the roots of techno and the contemporary evolution of this ever mutating movement, are the ingredients of a music full of his atypical vision. Last summer HXB was invited by SNTWN to perform at the Open Air festival at 6B in Saint-Denis (Paris). Following a particularly brilliant live set he has been receiving praise from some of the most influential people of Paris electronic music scene, among them DSCRD and Voiski. Very positive feedback also came from the likes of Marcel Dettmann and Johannes Volk. During the Nuit Blanche 2012 organized by SNTWN at La Machine du Moulin Rouge in Paris, he performed the opening act for Silent Servant and established his live set as one of the highlights of this event. Definitely techno-oriented, HXB’s live set was also one of the main attractions at the 75021 party at La Machine du Moulin Rouge, alongside DSCRD, Antigone and As Patria amongst others. These live performances were the premises of a side project: HEXIBEATS, his own record label was launched in late 2012.
