As 2013 draws to a close, Sylphe’s very own Holdie Gawn & Micawber are delivering their first release for 2014, Sylphe 05. Taking shape in the familiar split format, the Sylphe duo is delivering their most daring work to date. A side features ‘’Thron’’, an acid influenced deep groover which expands over 11 minutes and builds up slowly with stomping sub-bass notes, combined with smooth sonic textures: a fine blend of new and old school influenced with a modern approach. On the flip, ‘’F7’’ sounds a lot like an ongoing computation process. Riding along edgy electronic soundscapes and a heavy kick & bass combination, it evolves evolving gradually into an experimental jam, packed up with shuffled glitches and rhythms.
