Opening things up, the sinister title track is a dense, winding affair built around staggered tribal patters and powered along with a brooding Reese bassline. He/aT’s “set openers” have become something he is known for and this is definitely one of his most dramatic. After that madness, “It’s Impossible To Describe The Smell Of A Wet Dog” strips things right down with subtly chaotic-timed rhythms and synth-work. Kind of minimal...but not.
On the flip side, “A Drama Out Of A Crisis” is a straight-up new-meets-old techno stomper with early Beltram-esq beats and modulated melodies, before the EP closes out with the rawness; “The Man Who Made Husbands Jealous” is a tough acidic kind of work out with an infectious hook we think you’re going to like.
