The Headless Horseman has been suffering from severe dementia and is looking for Sanctuary. After the grueling massacre that occurred on Battle Hill, he has set course back to his safe haven. This position that he refers to as the Bridge of Dismay is the only location where he can further reflect and collect the shattered pieces of his black soul before he rides again.
