It's June 2003, and the power trio of Tony, Halo & Hipp-e have formed a supergroup under the guise The 6400 Crew to unleash a 12-inch that would take the summer by storm. "Dubb Me Some'tin Fresh" quickly garnered support from the upper echelons of the DJ community for its unrelenting groove and its unabashed tribute to the music of producers like Lee Scratch Perry and King Tubby.
Fast forward 13 years, and this single further cements itself in the history of Yoshitoshi with a Classic remix pack.
It's with great pleasure that we welcome LV boss Hector to the label, and Sinisa Tamamovic follows up his two recent EP's for Yoshitoshi with his powerful contribution. Add to this a deeper remix from Sharam and you have three enormous remixes that each command serious attention.
Hector's mix keeps many aspects of the original, modernizing them with his powerful grooves.
Sinisa's approach incorporates the producer's signature bass lines into a massive rework of the classic beat, and Sharam does what Sharam does best - flipping the track into a fresh, new mix that is sure to please a multitude of audiences. Finally, the original mix has been remastered for the modern DJ.
