Mukatsuku head honcho heard the ‘Ogun’ track from Iowa City outfit Eufórquestra (pronounced: yoo • FOHR • keh • struh, think Euphoria+Orchestra), on youtube several years ago bizarrely accompanying a 70’s soul train video .After contacting the label and securing a license the production team of GUYNAMUKAT (Guynamite & Nik Weston) finally set about with their own interpretation .For those who had perhaps fallen in love with the GUYNAMUKAT versions of the best selling afro beat monster featuring Kaleta on the label (MUKAT 014) a couple of years ago this picks up where that left off. Three versions are included here of Ogun … a dramatically shortened edit, an afro disco version plus a dubbed out more minimal disco version….Strictly limited 180 gram vinyl only.
