Grafix returns to Allsorts after the huge success of his debut release on the label alongside Fred V. Looking to repeat the success of ‘Long Distance’ and ‘Room to Breathe’ which received airplay across Radio 1 from Zane Lowe, Annie Mac, Crissy Criss and Fabio, Grafix conjures up two contrasting cuts of forward thinking D&B.
‘Encore’ is an emotive slice of fast soul music, combining lush, delicate atmospherics with light percussion and warm bass chords. The horns and vocal that glide over the drop tug on the heart strings to create the soundtrack to a perfect sunrise.
‘Millennium’ is aimed more squarely at the dancefloor than some of Grafix’s other offerings, but with that all important dose of funk kept well in tact to keep heads nodding. An airy, smoothing intro breaks into a bouncy roller, with snappy drums and a web of intricate sounds weaving in and out.
