Sickness from Goth-Trad on Mala's label, with perhaps his best twelve to date. 'Dark Path' on the A is an exercise in dub technology, thick slabs of bass overlaid with eastern melodies and mad FX. Percussion and snares are treated with heavy delays, pinging around like auditory hallucinations, building a framework upon which to hang the wistful chords and gentle flute topline. The flip is just as involving, stabbing wind samples and off-kilter hats readying you for sub undulations, runnin beats and mental bendy midrange noises.
