This is the sophomore release from label boss Goshawk on PFT ,following on from 'The Hunt EP' which was released to critical acclaim in 2015. Kicking off the EP we have 'Down in Brooklyn' complete with syncopated electronic chords, a call and response vocal and rhodes keys in the breaks. Next up is 'Both Sides Buttered' which offers up highly swung drums, wonky chords and quirky vocal in a stripped back vibe. Less is more. As featured by Red Rack'em on his Rinse FM show The B side kicks off with '88 Keys', a soulful/sampled vocal party monster with live rhodes keys and chunky beats. Should appeal to fans of the Kolour LTD sound Finally, the EP finishes with the deeper, darker vocal joint 'I live for the love you give' - a bassline led track with backwards piano samples and haunting male vocal. Like going to church on medication.
