Sonic Groove is proud to introduce the legendary G-Man otherwise known as Gez Varley along with friend Rob Strobe to the artist roster of SG. Gez is also known for being the founding member of one of techno music’s all time most famous acts LFO. Gez’s began recording solo as G-Man after leaving LFO behind for good in 1995. Quo Vadis from his very first release was a massive underground hit in technoville. It can easily be consider one of the top 10 techno records played in Berlin clubs of all time. It is still being played by many regularly in Berlin and has had quite a few recent represses. Now after a few year hiatus of releasing new material, G-Man returns with Robert Hauck aka Rob Strobe to bring forth Acrophobia. A three track dancefloor burner of chord driven pumping techno. Where as recent releases on Sonic Groove have strayed more to the industrial techno side. Gez and Rob’s release here is of the purist Sheffield / Detroit techno kind mixing classic styles of techno into the contemporary field of where techno is at in the present. If you love G-man’s legendary songs such as Quo Vadis & El Mar then this will be right up your street. Tracklisting: A: Skotch B1: Fit B2: Courage
