Last year saw 124 Recordings expand with the launch of new sub-label 124Black, aimed as a dedicated vinyl only outlet for "promoting a darker, harder sound firmly rooted in the underground". Much like the debut transmission, this second 124Black release is a various artists affair and features productions from Federico Curatolo, Ave Astra, Jacob B and John Devecchis. Upcoming Italian producer Curatolo commences proceedings with the no-nonsense peak time burner "House Music" which is matched by Ave Astra's subsequent contribution "All I Wanna Say," a track that's fairly dominated by the low-end sub bass. Jacob B maintains his 100% appearance record for 124Black with the hotly tipped "Murk" whilst Devecchis ends matters on a deeper note with "This Is".
