Cheap Thrills is fast becoming the UK answer to Ed Banger Records, it's sought after, sells out on each release and is constantly being repressed. The man behind Cheap Thrills is Hervé, who is also the man behind Machines Don’t Care, and The Count (from The Count & Sinden)… Voodoo Chilli, Speaker Junk, Young Lovers, Action Man, Dead Soul Brothers...
Mystique can be important in music and last year Fake Blood took this to another level setting blogs alight as folk tried to work out who the mystery man behind club bomb Mars was. The only pics he posted up were of vampire fangs and, yep, fake blood. After a slew of ace remixes for the likes of Armand Van Helden, Underworld and UNKLE, as well as DJ sets across the globe, Fake Blood continued to impress with his last release on Cheap Thrills 'Fix Your Accent' EP.
Now we bring you the MASSIVE release that everyone has been waiting for “Mars - Remixes”. Featuring the much sought after original and remixes from producers of the moment Jack Beats, Boy 8 Bit and Style of Eye.
Jack Beats: The brainchild of Beni G (Mixologists) and Plus One (Scratch Perverts), Jack Beats represent part of the new wave of British house music. Wobbly basslines, big breakdowns and edgy accapella’s are cut, copied and pasted together to create a floor-filling brand of house.
Boy 8 Bit: recent remixes include Chromeo, Midfield General, Lethal Bizzle, Mika, Hybrid and The Black Ghosts which have received support from DJ’s Such as Radio One’s Annie Mac and Kissy Sell Out and Kiss FM’s Sinden and the Loose Cannons.
