Superior Elevation is proud to present to you the raw unadulterated Motor City Funk of Exit, a one man band consisting of the psychedelic artist George Gullet. Originally from Detroit, George relocated to California in 1980 and soon afterwards began to reminisce about the "D". He decided to take home-studio action and recorded "Detroit Leaning", a synth string's drive through a dark neighborhood of Motor City. Originally released in small quantity on George's own IPS Records, this 45 is nearly impossible to find these days, even on eBay. Discovered by Lotus Land's Tom Noble several years ago while digging through Swap Meets in Souther California, the beat up record has been dragged through some sweaty dancefloors and today remains a killer funky late disco winner in the clubs. After years of testing it's worth on dancefloors, Tom contacted George and is producing this official reissue from the original master tape, with a slightly more psychish mix than the original. Post punkish disco rap B Side "I Wanna Dance" was also pulled from tapes, here given a subtle 7" edit by Tom Noble. Limited run, soon to become collector's item.
