A-side track "Party" is one of those pop-rock disco gems you expect to turn up on an "Originals" CD compilation. Recorded by South African outfit Harari, the track features a simple mid-tempo disco groove that's layered with squelchy, efx-laden bass and clavinet gurgles. Once you hit the first big synth riffs you know you're in for a treat, and then the raw, soulful, but a bit kitsch vocals arrive and we do indeed have a party on our hands. Vocoder vocal interludes?
