In the short space of a year Narratives Music has gained a level of acclaim and support which belies the labels age. As a Drum and
Bass stable it has secured constant support from A list DJs such as Rockwell, D Bridge, Kasra and BBC Radio 1's Friction; and
similarly it has a growing reputation amongst purveyors of other genres, with the likes of Kuedo, Rob da Bank, Laurent Garnier and
Ulrich Schnaus offering strong support.
The breadth of sound and style in the labels previous two outings pricked the ears of the highly regarded Resident Advisor website
who described the Narratives sound as "capable of providing the soundtrack to a film as well as moving a dancefloor".
As the seasons change and the year begins to close, October witnesses the third release and in keeping with the label's ethos, keeps
the listeners on their toes; flipping the sound to something altogether more aggressive whilst maintaining the emotive tones of the
previous single. Narratives 003 sees label co-founder Escher dropping his long awaited solo efforts "Rugged" and "Late Snare". With
a firm nod back to the 90's golden era of DnB, Escher delivers a concoction of breaks and bass that do not contradict the title, its
emotive intro setting up the most "Rugged" of drops.
Having done the rounds at the summer festivals of Outlook, Sun and Bass, and Dimensions, this brace of tracks represents
Narratives darkest and most dancefloor of sounds yet and found its way in to the record bags of the scene’s
elite.
