The self titled debut EP of the ever so spaced out ‘Efenkei’ on Soul Notes is the 4th installment in a series of distorted intergalactic house/techno jams. This 3 track counting EP starts out with the sonar psych anthem called Oblivion and travels through multiple styles, all with that significant edgy SNX touch to them. The A2 - Sexual is somewhat of a 6AM basement cut. Also that before mentioned edge but now smoothly combined with a more fine textured touch. On the B side we find the emotional title track of the EP. Smooth Strings, skippy drums and a tough bass to support the chords that float through now and then. On their first effort Efenkei comes up with a lavish eruption of disfigured drums, twisted vibes and imaginative stringplay.
