Absent from the shelves of record shops for some four years, the Detroit Wax label operated by Eddie Fowlkes resurfaced in style with last year's Unsung Hero EP. That's What Makes A Track represents the seventh Detroit Wax transmission from Fowlkes and sees the producer offer up a double does of his own distinct Technosoul sound. Lead track "That's What I Think About" starts with a deep beat and then expands neatly, adding further rhythmic detail and a killer vocal hook: "this is what makes a song cool, special". Complementing this, "Computer" has Fowlkes on hypnotic form, mixing deep beats with cosmic sounds which are again elelvated by his usage of vocals
