Eaux are the new project of 3 members of cult British group Sian Alice Group who released two albums and an EP via The Social Registry(Gang Gang Dance, Growing, Pshycic Ills) and toured with the likes of Spiritualized, Deerhunter and Florence and the Machine. Eaux focuses on the more electronic elements that were touched on with SAG using programmed motorik drum machines, samplers, mutliple layers of synth, bass, guitar woven in neatly beneath vocalist Sian Ahern's crystaline vocals. Since their inception early this year the band have taken in shows with Chromatics, Blondes, Teengirl Fantasy, Active Child, Yacht and Walls, and are set to head out on tours round Europe this autumn with Destroyer and Mercury Prize nominated Django Django, as well as a slot at taste maker London festival Nail The Cross which in the past has featured early sets from the likes of The XX, SBTRKT, Actress, Joy Orbison, Hudson Mohawke and Nite Jewell. Their debut EP follows on from an acclaimed 7" released in June of this year on Morning Ritual which recieved early praise from the likes of Pitchfork, Noisey/Vice, Yours Truly SF, Abeano, Time Out London, Dazed and Confused and Dummy, who put the single A-Side 'Luther' at no. 19 in their best tracks of the year so far, as well as radio support from BBC Radio 1's Jen Long, 6 Music's Tom Ravenscroft and Amazing Radio. The Band have appeared in features in The Stool Pigeon, TANK magazine, Dummy, Dazed and Confused, Notion Magazine, Electronic Beats, The Beat, Yours Truly and DIY magazine. After the single's DIY PR approach, the EP's PR duties are being handled by Toast Press, recently responsible for breaking the likes of Jessie Ware, Django Django, Kindness, Disclosure and Aluna George. In support of the EP a video is being made for each track on the release, including one directed by Douglas Hart of The Jesus and Mary Chain.
