The London based production duo Dusky (a.k.a. Alfie Granger-Howell and Nick Harriman) debut on Will Saul’s recently resurrected imprint, Simple Records with the Henry 85 EP, two tracks of UK garage infused house music. Influenced by everything from classical and avant-garde electronica to UK garage and underground house, this offering is diverse and danceable, and in line with the duo’s singular aim, to compose electronic music with depth, soul and originality. With support from djs as diverse as Joy Orbison, Zane Lowe, Annie Mac and Boddika as well as airplay on Rinse FM from Loefah and a remix for Hot Chip imminent on Domino, Dusky prove they’ll be around for a while. On remix duty is FCL, otherwise known as the Belgian production team Red D and San Soda. In early 2010, Red D and San Soda released their first collaborative EP, the critically acclaimed Vocals for Everyone via Red D’s We Play House Recordings. .Let’s Go’ and .More Than Seven’ both became huge club hits and dominated charts, parties and playlists for the whole of 2010. They followed it up with the “More Vocals for Everyone” EP and a number of remixes for Tyree Cooper, Subb-ann, Stuffa and Audiojack.
