Since summer 2009, Duoteque aka Dusty Kid and Andrea Ferlin have been working together again on new tracks. In order to celebrate this reunion, Boxer will release a major Duoteque retrospective on two CDs. But for the start, we proudly present this 12” teaser that truly is amazing. Apart from the gorgeous, mind-blowing “Intro” and the vibrant, housey “Neon”, Marascia & The Dolphins make themselves heard with remixes of classic Duoteque hits. Worth mentioning is Duoteque’s not-so-secret star: the bass line. It’s either fat and mighty, or fluffy and easy going. And once the spark has ignited the flame, the party is on fire. Kicking and groovy sounds that won’t let you go, haunting and hypnotizing soundscapes, and breaks that explode right “in your face”. This release truly is a thunderstorm, and a milestone on the turntable. And even the last couch potato in the universe will finally understand why Duoteque have become famous: Because of the sweat dripping from the ceiling.
