Re-release of two rare & classic tracks produced by Don Disco aka Projam aka LO SOUL! “The Whistle Song” is a collabo with Jeremiah, originally out on Grow! “Into The Groove” was released on the Guidance sublabel Crucial Sounds in 1997. Tracklisting: Don Disco & Jeremiah - The Whistle Song / Projam - Into The Groove. The sixth instalment of Running Back’s private pressings adventure is really running back this time. Reissue that is. The man who goes by the name of Losoul (Playhouse, Hessen) has been exceedingly nice to donate us two of his most beloved patina jams: “The Whistle Song” and “Into The Groove". Both have reached maturity in the last ten years, are staples at the Running Back associated club night “Liquid” at the infamous Robert-Johnson and still sound like the timeless pieces of H-Muzik that they undoubtedly are. The first course is called “The Whistle Song” (unrelated to Frankie “Moustache” Knuckles) and a co-production with Vienna’s Jeremiah for his label Grow Records. With almost ten minutes playtime, it’s one of the sweetest prime examples of a late night basic principle or an early morning dub, if this suits you better. Listen closely and find DJ Pierre’s coordinate system somewhere in there as well. Flip or skip for “Into The Groove” which has been more of a unilateral crusade for Losoul and his Projam moniker. Released 1997 on the Guidance subdivision Crucial Sounds, the thing gives most of the contemporary minimalistic fraternity a good dressing down and a run for their money. Bass music or hypno house, while we are stroking chins and debating pigeonholes, Projam is maddening a sound system near you. ?and this is fresh!
