secretsundaze return with SS016 - DJ Qu's mighty SS1 EP. secretsundaze and Qu have developed a special relationship with him playing at many of their parties in London but also at their events in the likes of New York, Berlin and Barcelona. A full 3 track EP on a label outside of his own Strength Music is rare for DJ Qu so its serious coup for secretsundaze. Title and lead track 'SS1' is quite simply huge. Definitely one of Qu's most peak time tracks, a slamming groove is underpinned with a bleepy, squelchy sounds and some dramatic synth stabs. This should be a highlight in many DJs sets for months to come. With 'Fearless' DJ Qu goes deep. A typically eerie yet soulful groove creeps along complimented by deep strings before the sampled and skewed spoken word creeps in. 'Loveboxx' is a dark and sinister track with stuttering drums and more of Qu's trademark treated vocal samples. The track is really lifted up with some string like keys and this 3rd and final track rounds up what is a masterful display by a producer in his prime.
