Escapades A year has passed since Dimitri Dimas (Δ Δ) released his last record – 2013’s well received Skyway EP – on RAMP’s petulant daughter label Fourth Wave. 2014 sees him return exclusively for record store day with his new 12” ‘Caveman Escapades’. Opening number ‘Caveman’ mixes early 90’s rave syncopation with Lee Perry-esq approach to the mixing board. Subtle changes in the frequency and delay spin around the driving beat. ‘Escapades’ is deep house reimagined with hip hop production. Pillowey pads ooze around an analogue bass looping into eternity.
