The world of the weary traveller played its part in the naming of Dennis Ferrer's latest dancefloor smash…
"I was inspired by all the traveling that I've done throughout my career and hearing that damn "mind your step" public message every time I'm in Schiphol Airport!"
Dennis told Defected.com recently.
"Travelling and being in music business takes its toll on any kind of family or relationship life. It takes a very special person to deal with "our" eccentricities.
So this record is a reminder to anyone who travels whether physically or mentally in and out of a relationship to please Mind Your Step.
" With the original track seeing a release on Defected last month and already taking the summers floors by storm, thanks in no small part to the incredible vocal from Janelle Kroll, the remix package sees a return to its original home and Dennis' own Objektivity imprint.
The trio of mixes is lead by Dennis' own Dub Mix which further promotes his exciting return to a fully analogue studio set up.
The bass 'drone' of the original is replaced by a warm, full and textured groove-heavy
baseline which works to perfection as Dennis chops Janelle's vocal and twists the filters..
