Due to an overwhelming demand we're bringing the release of Deadboy's If U Want Me forward, and it’s now scheduled as the first release on Numbers, your new favourite label built from the ashes of Dress 2 Sweat, Stuffrecords and Wireblock.
Deadboy is one of these rare talents who seems to musically encapsulate everything we love at Numbers, just as Rustie did with Jagz The Smack on Stuffrecords 3 years ago. Tapping into London's rich musical heritage from early 90's Hardcore all the way through to UK Garage and House, his tracks somehow still share the same sense of futuristic melancholia as the first wave of Detroit Techno by the likes of Derrick may and Juan Atkins.
If U Want Me is threatening to be the first underground hit of 2010, already finding its way into the boxes of Kode9, Martyn, Sinden, Joy Orbison and Modeselektor; who included it as the opening track in their recent Resident Advisor podcast. The limited edition vinyl release will feature music on side A with a laser etched B side designed with love by our sister company; Remote Location.
Stay locked onto nmbrs.net as there will be heaps more to come from both Deadboy and Numbers in 2010.

About Numbers:
Numbers is the name we've been using to throw the hottest parties in Glasgow (and sometimes London and Tokyo) since 2003. Our music policy ranges from Techno to Hip-Hop via 80s R&B screamers, House, Electro, UK Garage and Dubstep; all of which will be reflected in the new label. After six years of pinching each others artists, selling each others records and trying to explain to friends why we have THREE record labels, we thought it was a good idea to join forces, start afresh and take it to the mo.
Dress 2 Sweat, Stuffrecords and Wireblock are dead. Long live Numbers.
