The La Bionda brothers were a force to be reckoned with in their heyday circa 1978. Hugely successful across Europe at the time it's a shame that Carmelo & Michelangelo's extensive output hasn't really stood the test of time. Looking back on it now their career from an outside perspective was a tirade of cringe-making mimed TV appearances, moustaches and clichéd album artwork. Behind the media image however were two incredibly talented musicians and producers and on this 3 track EP we have some of their best work that defies their euro-pop reputation and will knock your modern day disco dance floor sideways. "Burning Love" (recorded under their alias D.D. Sound) is a ten minute epic with wonderful male to female vocal ricochets and classic cosmic Italo instrumentation. "I Got Your Number" retains the dual lead vocal qualities but adds a killer electric guitar riff to the concoction making a different beast altogether. "I Wanna Be Your Lover" is a bit of silly pop record on first listen but sits perfectly with the ethos of the EP once everything has bedded in. Ultra high quality audio pressed onto hand-stamped whites.
