New York house legend David Morales arrives on Radio Slave’s Rekids for a vinyl only release. Homage to his formative years at the influential club of the same name, Morales’ Red Zone Project is the moniker which the Def Mix veteran produced many of his seminal remixes under, from the Thompson Twins to Shawn Christopher, Clive Griffin to Overweight Pooch and Propaganda to the Pet Shop Boys. Rekindling the pseudonym for a vinyl only appearance on Matt Edwards’ renowned imprint, the release initiates with a robust dancefloor workout titled ‘Don’t Go’ that’s laced with heady melodies and energetic hats. Meanwhile, ‘Tribal Funk’ is a more rhythmic cut featuring thudding drums, deep chords and compelling vocal samples.
