Openwork Socks kicks off the festivities with a sultry slab of machine music for soft humans. While Tortuous Thoughts dusts off the flutes, strings and soulful vocal samples for an all out Disco-Boogie jam that will fill floors with ease. The title track, Near Me, tips its cap to kraut and Liquid Liquid backbone elements as it chugs its way into a squelching 12-minute opus. Finally Pralina pounces on its way out with dubbed-out funk licks and slick phase shifts. Near Me will be limited to a 300 piece pressing and will hit shelves mid March.
