Rising British producer Dale Howard makes a triumphant return to Audiojack's Gruuv imprint this March with the 'Damaged' EP, backed with a remix from New York's MANIK.
Dale Howard has been on a continual rise as both a DJ and producer over the past few years and although still in the early stages of his career, Howard has already seen his material grace leading imprints such as Get Physical, Local Talk, Noir and Morris Audio to name but a few.
Dale's 'No Limits' EP, released on Gruuv in 2013, saw him pick up support from luminaries such as Loco Dice, Ryan Crosson and Huxley, so it's no surprise to see Audiojack enlisting him for another single on the imprint here.
We see all three originals aimed at the dance floor on 'Damaged' and fans of Dale's previous EP on Gruuv will not be disappointed. To kick off the single Howard offers up title track 'Damaged', a soulinfused deep house track with a new-jersey swing on the percussion and sub bass aplenty.
Following is 'Right On Time' which stays on a similar tip with shuffling rhythms, stuttering dubbed out chords and that signature warehouse bass last heard on 'Shatter'.
Opening the B-Side we have 'Break' and as the name would suggest the bumpy drum-break leads the way here, while sporadic rave chords round off the cut as a classic meets contemporary, up-tempo workout.
Lastly to close the release we have a remix of title track 'Damaged' courtesy of Real Tone / Ovum artist MANIK.
The New York born artist delivers a great contrast to the preceding records here, putting things on an off-kilter tip with ever-evolving drum programming, an intense background.
