Fathom Recordings is a Canadian based record label run by the production duo known as Daega Sound System. FTHM12001 is a limited edition 12 inch vinyl release featuring two cuts from Daega Sound packaged in record jackets silkscreened and numbered by hand. The A side features heavy tune "11C". The steady sounds of 808 claves and half-time snare set the tone for this one. A building vocal edit intro sheds light on a big room with an even bigger drop. Heavy sub bass and a subtly side-chained mid bass hold up the bottom end as an acid like lead line works it's way through the environment. When the pads drop on top, you feel the force of the deep and the dirty sounds of Daega Sound. A big tune, "11C" was built for the sound system. The AA side features the deep roller "Outpost". Haunting melodic pads, a distantly filtered beat with ethereal effects greet the listener and start their journey into the abyss. A sneaky drop, before you know it you've slipped into another world. The sub rolls along with deep pads, distant mids and snappy big snare only to take you further into the realms of the Daega Sound. A deep, rolling and heavy tune "Outpost" bathes the listener in bass and truly takes the listener to a deeper place.
