With his impeccable sense of rhythm and combining deep and playful house with madly tweaking synths, 'Eye Light' and 'Silent Sing' are possibly the most exciting house tracks Crackazat has produced so far.
The title track Eye Light is a lesson in how to make house music that both punches and caresses, while the 'It's A Jam' version with its soulful chord progression is perfect for a Sunday afternoon session, Blaze fans take notice.
The b-side opens up with a rework of 'Silent Sing', this version is a proto-techno jazz fest. Ending the 12" is a close friend of Kerri Chandler and Local Talk, Mikael Nordgren aka Tiger Stripes. His remix is a stripped down and dark techno cut with a rolling bassline and tight claps. Very different from the original but yet oh so funky!
In short: Another release that keeps this talented producer one step ahead of the competition. Kiko has created something that's both atmospheric and haunting at the same time. If you've ever searched for a track to play when the sun goes down, here it is. .
