For the 25th instalment from House of Disco we see Munich duo and Toytonics regulars COEO explore pastures new with an EP bathed in the neon glow of the 1980’s. Inspired by cheap karate films and old Baywatch episodes the duo hone in on something new for them along all the old machines and familiar sounds. ‘Habibi Dub’, the opening track elevates the forgotten about pan pipe to joyous summer perfection for slow motion running on that honeymoon in Hawaii. The second of three originals ‘Sharks, Lies & Videotape’ takes the dune buggy for a blast along the beach looking for trouble while the next third offering ‘Joe Armstrong Theme’ defends your dojo from unwanted nighttime intruders. Alongside the originals are two superb remixes from one of our favourite producers Lauer and young Irish team Mix & Fairbanks.
