1. Profumo 2. Profumo (Gosub Remix) Profumo is the first release in the new Don't Be Afraid 10" series entitled DBA DUBS. This series is about teaming a London house dub with a 'techno-related' dancefloor remix. The first release comes from Claws For? of Modern Soul Recordings (and formerly DC Recordings), with a remix from Miami's Gosub, who you will doubtless recognize from his releases on Citinite, Device and Frustrated Funk. Hearing is believing as far as the original goes, a soulful and expressive analogue house cut that will work in both day time and night time sets this summer. Gosub's remix is a sleazy, greasy Miami electronic funk work out which sweats and oozes authentic East Coast vibe Claws For? is a Hackney based producer who has for some time now evaded the limelight despite a growing and devoted list of followers. As Clause Four he was responsible for the genre destroying Blue On Blue EP which appeared in 2007 on DC Recordings. Subsequently, still operating as Clause Four, he had moved on to other, more distilled projects, first hooking up with Jahtari on their seminal digital dancehall Jahmiga 7" and subsequently starting his own Modern Soul Recordings imprint to explore the sound of 80's boogie. For his inaugural DBA DUBS release as Claws For? he continues to express his love for real music with real feeling via the highway of his own twisted imagination.
