There's a reason that Charlie's "Spacer Woman" is one of the most reissued Italo-disco records of all time: It's undoubtedly one of the defining records of the electro-influenced, synth-heavy style. Recorded and released in 1983, the track was far more cosmic and intergalactic in feel than many of its synth-pop influenced contemporaries, doffing a cap to U.S electro as well as the electronic disco productions of Giorgio Moroder and Patrick Cowley. It became something of a dancefloor anthem in Chicago and Detroit on the eve of the house and techno revolutions and remains one of the best electronic dance records of all time.
