Captn K from Picnic is busy writing dance jams for his next release but in the mean time has decided to give us a couple of groovers he whipped up to play at his local and they are the perfect pub tunes (and long enough to grab a beer and visit the loo). Swamp Groove is a blues groover that keeps the heads bopping and the beer flowing, a solid beat and a swampy vibe provided by smooth blues guitar by label affiliate Bretski. Jews harp, melodica and random percussion help define this bayou style beat. On the flip is "Gravyboat" again sitting on a solid beat with funky guitar and trumpet excursions throughout the track giving it a funky jazz feel, sounds better through speakers than on paper...check it out.
