LIES (Ancient Methods Remix) "Lies," a track from the now-defunct UK experimental group Bourbonese Qualk, get new life by way of a vinyl release on Mannequin Records with Ancient Methods on edit and remix duties. The release also contains the original 'short' version. Bourbonese Qualk came into existence in 1979, and put out a stream of confrontational albums through much of the '80s and into the early '90s. After a long pause, their final album, On Uncertainty, came out in 2001, and the band disbanded the next year after the death of guitarist Miles Miles. "Lies", a terse, TR 808 driven electro-tinged cut just under two minutes long, originally came out in 1986 on the Preparing For Power LP by way of the group's own label Recloose Organization. * Limited edition of 300 copies, 160-gr. black vinyl, with postcard * Graphic design curated by Alessandro Adriani. * Mastering by Rude 66.
