First Word are very excited to present a brand new 7" from Border Crossing. Born out of the melting pot that is Ladbroke Grove, West London with it's unique tradition of merging musical styles, Border Crossing's sound emerged in 2004. Their critically acclaimed debut LP 'Ominous' expressed this diverse range of influences, drawing upon reggae, soul, rock, jazz & hip hop. The second album 'Freedom of Speech' signalled a harder sound with more vocal collaborations, before a venture into the purely instrumental sound of their third release, 'Starlines & Stellagrams' in 2010. Core members AJ & Seorais were joined by beatmaker Ollie Bishop and experienced engineer and musician Nick Rundall for their last album, as well as remixes for Jehst and Easy Star All Stars. This 7" features dub reggae track 'Dream On' ft Knati P with an exclusive vinyl only dub on the flip from Assassin.
