Black Uhuru were the most successful act from Jamaica besides Bob Marley! - They had an enormous cross-over success duirng the early to mid 80ies and were the first Reggae act to win a Grammy! - Here's the Deluxe Edition including the very first Black Uhuru album entitled 'Love Crisis' from 1977 (mixed at King Tubby's by Prince Jammy). This original album was re-mixed by Prince Jammy in 1981 (at Harry J and King Tubby's studio with engineer Sylvan Morris) and released as 'Black Sounds Of Freedom', and is also included here! - On top of it the package includes the 1982 Dub-Mix at Channel One of the 1981 album vocal version (again mixed by Prince Jammy), plus three extended DeeJay cuts featuring U Black. Don Carlos, Garth Dennis (later to join The Wailing Souls), and Duckie Simpson were the first incarnation of Black Uhuru backed by the fantastic rhythm section consisting of the ever present drum & bass twins Sly Dunbar & Robbie Shakespeare!
