Ben Butler & Mousepad, the new electric wizard on the block, are unleashing their debut album ‘Formed for Fantasy’ to coincide with their forthcoming US tour with legendary futurist popsters Deerhoof. The album, conceptualized by Philip K. Dick’s hallucinatory mind, played by prog-rock legends Magma and Goblin, influenced by the sounds of UK’s emerging wonky pop culture with some good ol’ funkadelic thrown in the mix. It sounds out of this world but you still can move your feet to it. Recorded in various places around Europe (Rotterdam, Berlin and Darmstadt) the album features guest vocalists from Momus, Bobby Birdman and Vice Cooler from offthe-wall group, Hawnay Troof and Xbrx.
