The latest offering on PAL SL comes from two of the key pioneers of modern electronic music. Baby Ford has been active since the late 1980’s and is regarded by most as being the driving force behind the UK acid house scene. Since then he has steadily released countless numbers of compositions ranging from the chart topping Oochy Koochy and Ford Trax to the blissful underground walks in space that have recently appeared on labels such as Autoreply, not to mention the work he has done with fellow collaborators such as Ian ‘Eon’ Loveday as Minimal Man, Mark Broom and Thomas Melchior on his own highly respected Ifach, Trelik & Pal SL imprints ZIP is co-owner of the highly influential Perlon imprint which has been consistently releasing forward thinking house & techno music since 1997. Those in the know will tell you that this label alongside maybe 2 or 3 others is responsible for bringing the genre that we know as ‘minimal’ from the Berlin backrooms & afterparties to the world stage. Aside from being ZIP’s first release outside Perlon for over five years this record marks his return to PAL SL following on from the 1998 Iso Grifo 12″ under his Dimbiman alias. Both tracks were recorded at ZIP’s studio in the grounds of the Berghein in between the Get Perlonized parties at the Panorama Bar, and mastered at D & M.
