Baby Ford has been making electronic music since the late 1980’s and is regarded by most as having been one of the key players in the UK acid house scene. Since then he has steadily released countless numbers of compositions ranging from the chart topping ‘Oochy Koochy’ and ‘Ford Trax’ to the blissfull underground walks in space that have recently appeared on labels such as Perlon not to mention the work he has done with fellow collaborators such as Ian ‘Eon’ Loveday as Minimal Man, Mark Broom and Thomas Melchior on his own highly respected Ifach, Trelik & Pal SL imprints. 2008 saw the hugely popular re-issue of Minimal Man’s ‘Make A Move’ on Trelik & now the boys take things to the next level with a rework of ‘Make Your Own Sunshine’ which was one of the stand out tracks from the 4th release on the Pal SL label ‘Bford 14′. Now complete with deep haunting vocals, a stunning Minimal Man remix not to mention a cheeky acappella this record which already boasts deeply infectious keys and a warm analog house bassline looks set to become one of the most essential tunes of the summer months being perfect for the peak time set as well as the sun rise after party making sunshine with deep house & techno followers alike! This latest offering on Pal SL label comes as a new joint partnership with London based independent store Juno which since 1996 has been devoted to selling first 12″ records, then CD’s & now digital downloads with the manufacture of high quality vinyl pressings being their latest forte which aims to keep the vinyl side of this business very much alive for our future generations. This EP was mastered by the legendary Kevin Metcalfe of ‘The Soundmasters’ who has worked as an engineer at RCA Records, CTS and Townhouse Studios. Kevin mastered Bford 9 and the entire Ifach catalogue not to mention ‘Diamond Dogs’ by David Bowie, as well as countless projects with Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry & King Tubby. Make Your Own Sunshine
