ANTI-TANK live in a secret bunker on the north east coast somewhere between Seaham and Blyth. "The Bunker" is an Aladdin’s cave of vintage analogue synths, keyboards, military headgear and breathing apparatus. Their musical output comes few and far between since the deep well of music and film in the bunker proves distracting. However after a flurry of recent activity ANTI-TANK are ready, set, go and “It’s Over” (not really it is simply the name of the track)!
“It’s Over” is a hi-NRG disco sex body music odyssey wearing its Nitzer Ebb, Vince Clarke, Front 242, Fad Gadget, Bobby O influences firmly and proudly on its sleeve.
Daniel Avery famed Fabric resident and lynchpin of Erol Alkan’s Phantasy label brings vocalist Kelly Lee Owens (who also sang on his Drone Logic hit) into the fold and turns the acid setting to 11 on his take on the track. Meanwhile label founders People Get Real turn in a serious slice of low slung stadium techno, get those crash barriers firmly secured.
Plays and support comes from: Tim Sweeney, Ewan Pearson, Erol Alkan, Jennifer Cardini, Jacques Renault (Runaway), Philip Sherburne, In Flagranti, Jaymo & Andy George, Sean Johnston (Hardway Brothers), Matt Walsh, Justin Robertson, Joakim, Cosmo Vitelli
