"Another World" nods its head to techno's yesteryear, more specifically Detroit. Imagine a slower version of the Motor City's soulful chord pulsing sound and you'll find yourself in the right ballpark. Add to this Andy's finishing jacking touch and the result is golden. This time around OTP's remix work finds Italian man of the hour Nicholas, from No More Hits (label) fame and OTP's very own Marcos Cabral. The Nicholas version teases listeners with what could be perceived as a disco-ish version before digging into Andy's synth structure and adding a very Fingers-esque sounding bassline. With the amount of quality work coming from this man's studio, does he find time to sleep? Marcos Cabral's Bay City version cranks up the jack factor and chops the synths into a groove of neck breaking proportions. All the while taking Andy's sound effects and gently stretching them across five minutes of fist pumping synth wobble. Expect a landslide of gigantic breakdowns that defy convention and warp bassbins. As a bonus track we get "Focus" and single in its own right. Finding it's mood even deeper and spread out. While easily partnered with "Another World", this one shows a more contemplative vibe with hints of melancholy. It really deserves its own time to shine.
