Aktion Mutante (Violet Poison and Unhuman) is a Synth-Punk project recalling the ‘80s minimal-wave melancholic vibes’ with new school EBM/ Cyber-Punk noise cuts. The realistic mutation of the human body into a surreal and ascetic mind setting of an apocalyptic contemporary society. A live force with analogue machines. Manos met Francesco during summer 2015 in Berlin, where they were performing for Liber Null’s anniversary edition ‘Duality’. Quickly they discovered the same passion and vision for music. After exchanging many ideas they finally met each other for a recording session at Francesco’s studio. In winter 2016 they complete their first work, the Aktion Mutante 12’’. A mini-LP composed of 6 tracks, recorded between Pisa and Berlin. Mixed by Aconito Records, London. Mastered by Andrea Merlini, Utrecht. By taking the best of ’80s and early ’90s synth punk and EBM (adding some more modern and darker influences in the mix) and filtering it with a modern approach, they revitalize that time where the lines between the genres where blurrier, permitting a freedom in songwriting and ideas not permitted by a rigid and dogmatic scheme. At the same time they look back at the thematic roots of early industrial and EBM music, without ever be preaching or pretentious, just suggesting the themes while focusing on the music.
